Launched in 2020, The Global Agency of the Year Awards, run in conjunction with our regional schemes in the AOTY family, are specifically intended to honour agencies whose achievements are world class, who want their success in their chosen field to be recognised on a global stage and want their performance to be judged alongside other agencies from all corners of the world.
The Globals are open to agencies of any size, shape or flavour, from a single office, boutique, specialist agency anywhere in the world, to a full agency network. Our jury will be judging your entries on the world class quality of your achievements, not the scale of your enterprise.
Our jury is comprised of senior brand marketers drawn from across the globe, and as with the regional schemes within the AOTY family of awards, our aim is to give as many diverse voices (women, BAME, LGBTQ+, different ages / seniority, people with disabilities) a chance to determine the results of this industry-leading event.
The Gold Standard - Being shortlisted in our global tier of AOTY, simply means you’re world class. Your agency will be recognised as progressive, forward -thinking and be seen to be leaders within the global ad industry.
Little Acorns and Mighty Oak Trees - The AOTY Globals recognise that you don’t have to be global in scale to be world class in stature; these awards allow single independent agencies the same chance as a multi-regional network to claim their achievements in a particular field are best in the world.
We take Judging Seriously - Judging is completed by a panel of brand marketers and verified by PwC. Winning an Agency of the Year Award Globals is the most prestigious recognition an agency or individual in the industry can receive and because of our judging is audited, we can guarantee that our results are accountable, fair and transparent
Enhance staff morale - Entering an individual employee into one of our ‘people’ categories, or entering the whole agency, either way your employees will know you recognise and value their hard work and consider them and their results to be world class. If you do manage to make the shortlist, or bag an award on the night then employee motivation will reach unprecedented levels!
Encourage creative, innovative thinking - Preparing your entries provides focus, motivation and reflection for the whole team. An opportunity to reflect on what was achieved and to set aspirations for the future.
All categories are open to agencies of any size, status or location, but the judges will be looking for demonstrable global reach. Each entrant is free to show global reach as they wish, but here are some examples as to how this may be achieved:
- The entering company has offices in two or more of the following regions: APAC, Europe, Middle East, Africa, LATAM and The Caribbean, North America & Canada - The entering company can show it has a client base spanning two or more of the same regions - The entering company can demonstrate multi-regional reach within its creative output - The entering team / individual has a specific global or multi regional remit to their job role / function - The entering team / individual can show that their work has a multi-regional effect within their organisation
All entries must relate to work and achievements ONLY during the period October 1 2019 to November 30 2020.
